History of the Realm
The Realm is a group of islands, islets and corral reefs surrounded by a chain of statues creating a circle of 100 miles circumference.
The statues are made in the likeness of warriors long forgotten, their purpose unknown and their creators are a mystery. Few have dared to venture outside the circle for fear of the unknown but those who have named the statues and have sketched the front of them for all those who wish to know can. They are of differing races, genders, some are aggressive, some are more passive, some are doubled together (such as the Southern Sisters) others stand out further away from the rest (such as the Northern Protector). Though no one knows how created these massive statues, whose base are usually 10 to 15 feet across and stand 50 to 70 feet tall, what is known is that they resist the weather and have stood for 3000 years without change.
3125 years is the age of the Realm. No other name is needed for the Realm is all of the world. All that is known about outside the Realm differs upon differening opinons, none based on fact. The Realm is made up on hundreds of islands, islets, and reefs. The largest island is only 5 miles long at its longest and due to the creativity of Dwarven stone workers some of the smaller islands have had their cities expanded by placing rock support beams, or using existing rock formations, in the waters. Most cities have a portion of the city built over the gentle waves of the sea.
the Realm has a myriad of species who have lived together in peace for as long as history can remember. Elves inhabit several forest islands and their woodshapers grow the best trees for orc shipmakers. Orcs live peacefully with other races but tend to concenrate on ship building or are sea hands. Goblins usually live on large rafts filled with treasures since goblins have a tendancy to have the most exotic fish for sale. Half humans are common and accepted throughout the Realm. Halflings have always had a low population and it seemsto be shrinking. They seem to be moving to their own islnd. Dwarves are the city builders and master planners of large projects.
